Shipping & Delivery Policy

1. Introduction

PacificoFresh ships seafood products to customers worldwide. Our shipping and delivery processes are designed to maintain product quality and freshness through rigorous cold chain logistics.

We have established commercial branches in Spain, Norway, Poland, and Romania to support efficient European distribution.

2. Shipping Zones and Availability

We ship to the following regions:

– European Union: Direct delivery from our EU branches or warehouses. We offer shipping to all EU member states with applicable terms and restrictions.
– Chile and Latin America: Direct delivery from our Chilean operations.
– Other International Destinations: Availability depends on product type, shipping destination, and applicable regulations. Please contact us for specific inquiries.

Please note that some seafood products may not be available for shipping to certain destinations due to regulatory restrictions.

3. Delivery Timeframes

We will use our best efforts to meet requested delivery dates. However, we are not liable for damages, losses, or expenses if we fail to meet a requested delivery date.

Estimated delivery times:

– Fresh seafood (EU): Usually 24-48 hours from dispatch
– Fresh seafood (Chile): Usually 48-72 hours from dispatch
– Frozen seafood: 2-5 business days depending on destination

All delivery dates are estimates and not guaranteed.

4. Shipping Methods and Packaging

All seafood is shipped using temperature-controlled packaging to maintain the appropriate cold chain:

– Fresh seafood: Maintained at 0°C to 5°C throughout transit
– Frozen seafood: Maintained at -18°C or lower throughout transit

We use isothermal packaging and high-quality thermal boxes to minimize temperature variations, protect against impact, and reduce contamination risk during transit.

5. Delivery Process

– Deliveries are typically made during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM local time).
– A signature is required upon delivery unless otherwise arranged.
– If no one is available to receive the delivery, the carrier will leave a notice explaining how to reschedule delivery.
– If delivery cannot be completed due to Customer absence, the order may be returned to our warehouse. Re-delivery fees may apply.

6. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on:

– Destination
– Weight and volume of the order
– Shipping method selected (express or standard where available)

For EU customers, shipping costs are clearly displayed during the checkout process.

7. Customs, Duties, and Import Taxes

For international shipments outside the EU:

– Chilean exports: May be subject to export documentation and customs clearance.
– Destination country: Customs duties, taxes, and import fees are the responsibility of the Customer unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We recommend checking with your local customs authority for estimated import charges before placing an order.

8. Cold Chain Monitoring

We use real-time temperature monitoring systems to ensure products remain within the required temperature range throughout transit. Sensors and IoT technology provide constant visibility of temperature and location, allowing immediate correction of any issues.

9. Undeliverable or Refused Shipments

If a shipment is refused by Customer or cannot be delivered due to incorrect address information provided by Customer, the order may be returned to us. In such cases, the Customer is responsible for:

– The cost of return shipping
– A restocking fee
– Any additional shipping costs for re-delivery
